Homemade healthy kiwi and banana jam πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸŒπŸŒπŸŒ

It is always nice to have home-grown fruits but frequently they are all at once mature and you can’t eat them all in time. It is a pity to throw them away and that is the reason why we make fruit jams. This time I made a tasty from kiwi fruit. Kiwis are also a good source of vitamin C, antioxidants, and fibre.

Let’s start. To make a tasty kiwi jam, you need:

  • 1 kg fully softened kiwi
  • 1 banana
  • 200 g sugar
  • gelling agent with pectin
  • lemon juice from 1 lemon

First of all, soak the gelatine leaves in a bowl of cold water.

Peel the kiwis and smash them, mine were very, very small and I smashed them with a smaller tool. If you want a seedless jam, strain the mixture through a sieve of suitable size.

Add the banana, blend again with the (stick) blender.

Place the fruit mixture on the fire. When it starts to boil, add the sugar and cook, stirring constantly, for 20 minutes.

Stir well in between to prevent the mixture from burning at the bottom of the pot. Add the gelatine and cook for another 3 minutes.

Pour the hot jam into glass jars and seal them tightly. Wrap in a cloth and leave to cool overnight.
