Lobster 🦞 Lemongrass Soup - Easy Way To Cook For Dinner 🍲

Hello everyone of Foodie Bee Hive, I would like to show all of you how I made this yummy lobster lemongrass recipe. This soup is sour, a little salty and incredible tasting with its delicious combination of lobster, lemongrass, fish, and lime. Serving lobster soup for family dinner or a small party will be an enjoyable meal. With these easy steps, I will guide you through the process so you can enjoy making them too.

Ingredients

  • Lobster 🦞
  • Lemongrass
  • Lime
  • Fish
  • long coriander
  • Seasoning πŸ§‚ ( salt, sugar, khnorr powder )

This is my method for cooking and cleaning lobsters. Before cooking, we need to make sure the lobsters are alive and have visible signs of activity before cooking. If the lobsters are larger or smaller than this where I show you increase or decrease the cooking time by a minute or two minutes more.

Cut the leg. Twist the legs off of the lobster or bend them back until it snap. If you have a hard shell lobster, you just break off the tip of the legs with knife or scissors.

Here, we cut it already. I wash it under running water about three times and clean it well with our hand.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil: Fill a large pot 3/4 full of water. Add a tablespoon of salt for every quart of water. The water should be salty like sea water (in fact you can use clean sea water if you have it). Bring the water to a rapid boil. Next, we add lemongrass and boil it again.

We might know that the lobster is actually going to be cooked quickly than the fish, now I like to add the fish first. Obviously, we didn’t plan to add fish but there are 4 members in my family so 1 lobster is hardly to make us full. By the ways, we need to boil it about 5-7 minutes before we add more seasoning.

We add about 1/2 tablespoon of salt to the pot to simmer it with fish, the salt and lemongrass will help to cut down the smell of the fish so that why we can not skip these two main ingredients.

Next is soup powder. I actually pour 1/3 tablespoon of soup powder or you can also add it more as you prefer.

Here, we already got the lobster that we have prepared. After simmer the fish about 10 minutes and now, I like to pour the lobster into the boiling pot.

Simmer it for 3-5 minutes due to the fact that lobster don’t take a long time to cook as well as we don’t expect the lobster to be well cooked.

After 4 minutes, I place the lobster on the plate.

So now, let’s transfer it into the pot again over medium heat.

I need to make it into small piece so that when we serve we can easily eat it on the plate.

Stirring it with the fish soup.

Turn of the heat and add long coriander on the top of the soup pot. Then stir it all together.

Now, we cut the lemon. It a little dark.

When we serve, we just add 1 or 2 lime as you prefer on the top of the soup, stirring it together and we can enjoy our lobster lemongrass soup.
