Some people say that you can find better mexican food in socal than in Mexico. To be honest, I haven't been to Mexico enough to confirm this, but the food at The Taco Stand is amazing. In my opinion the best taco shop in San Diego. They have about 4 shops here in San Diego and now have expanded to Orange County, Las Vegas and Miami. All the food is cooked fresh and even the tortillas are cooked at the time they make the tacos.
Today I ordered a Mar Y Tierra Burrito (grilled shrimp, steak, melted cheese, cabbage, avocado, tomato, chipotle sauce), and a grilled corn served with mayo, cheese and chili powder. Very good as always!

Algumas pessoas dizem que no sul da California tem comida mexicana melhor do que no Mexico. Pra falar a verdade eu não estive no Mexico o suficiente pra confirmar isso, mas a comida do The Taco Stand é sensacional. Na minha opinião o melhor taco shop de San Diego. Eles tem umas 4 lojas aqui em San Diego e agora ja expandiram para Orange County, Las Vegas e Miami. A comida é toda feita de ingredientes frescos, inclusive as tortillas são feitas na hora.
Hoje eu pedi um Burrito Mar Y Tierra (camarões grelhados, carne, queijo derretido, repolho, abacate, tomate e molho chipotle), e um milho grelhado com maionese, queijo e pimenta chili em pó. Muito bom como sempre!
