Hello everyone!!
If you are looking for a fun place for dinner in San Diego, this is a good tip. Not only in San Diego, they also have restaurants in other states, but most of them are here in southern California. If you are in SoCal, you can probably find one near you.
Yesterday was my son's birthday, and I asked him where did he want to go for dinner. I kinda already knew the answer, but I asked anyways. The choice was Kura.

Se voce esta procurando um lugar divertido para comer em San Diego, esta é uma boa dica. Não só em San Diego, eles tem restaurantes em outros estados também, mas a maioria é aqui no sul da California. Se voce esta no sul da California, certamente tem uma filial perto de voce.
Ontem foi o aniversario do meu filho, e eu perguntei onde ele queria jantar. Eu ja imaginava qual seria a resposta dele, mas eu perguntei mesmo assim. A escolha foi o Kura.

The sushi there is not the most amazing you ever had. It is good, but it wouldn't be my choice for the food itself. The cool thing about it, and what kids love the most, is that the restaurant is mostly automatic. There is almost no need for a waiter.
The restaurant is very popular here, the wait is always long. The good, and bad, thing about it, is that I can put my name in line on their app from home. It's convenient to get in line from home, but since it is so easy, lots of people do it and the wait is always long. Specially yesterday, a Friday night, I put my name in line at 5:30pm and there was already a 2 hours wait.
Once we get there, a waiter will take us to our table and greet us. After that everything else comes to your table without a person. Only alcoholic beverages will be brought by a waiter.

O sushi de lá não é o mais impressionante que voce ja experimentou. É bom, mas não seria minha escolha pela comida mesmo. O legal do restaurante, e o que as crianças gostam, é que tudo é automático. Quase não há necessidade de garçom.
O Restaurante é bem popular aqui, e sempre tem uma espera longa. O bom, e ruim, é que posso colocar meu nome na fila usando o app deles de casa. É bem conveniente entrar na fila ainda em casa, mas como é tão fácil, muita gente faz isso e a espera é sempre longa. Especialmente ontem, uma Sexta-feira a noite, eu coloquei o nome na fila as 5:30 da tarde e a espera ja estava em 2 horas.
Quando chegamos lá, uma recepcionista nos atendeu e nos levou até nossa mesa. Depois disso nada mais vem para a mesa com uma pessoa. Somente bebidas alcoólicas são trazidas por um garçom.

As you can see on the picture above, at the end of every table there is a tablet and underneath there are 2 belts. The bottom belt keeps moving no stop, and you can grab any plate you want at any time. The top belt will bring any orders you make on the tablet.
Right when you sit, the tablet is already set to offer drinks, and the drinks are brough to the table by a robot. Check it out!

Como voce pode ver na foto acima, no final de todas as mesas tem um tablet, e duas esteiras logo abaixo. A esteira mais de baixo fica se movimentando sem parar, e voce pode pegar um prato a qualquer momento que voce quiser. A esteira mais no alto tras os pedidos que voce faz no tablet.
Assim que chegamos o tablet ja estava mostrando a pagina de bebidas, e as bebidas são trazidas para a mesa por um robot. Olha só!!

In the back of the restaurant you can see the sushi chefs working to fill the plates in the moving belt, and the custom orders.

Na parte de tras do restaurante tem umas janelas onde voce pode ver os sushi chefs trabalhando para repor a esteira e os pedidos dos tablets.

When you are done with each plate, there is a hole at the end of the table that perfectly fits the plate in, and you just have to slide it in. The system will automatically count how many plates you had, and all plates are the same price. I forgot to take a picture of this place where you put the plates.
At the end of the dinner, you can check out on the tablet as well. When you ask to check out, it will show you the total and a QR code for you to scan with your phone. When you open the link, it has all items you had, the total, and you can pay on your phone.
It's a pretty cool experience, and like I said, the kids love it.

Quando voce termina com um prato, tem um buraco no canto da mesa, que cabe o prato certinho, e voce só desliza o prato pra dentro. O sistema vai contar automaticamente quantos pratos voce comeu, e todos os pratos são o mesmo preço. Eu esqueci de tirar uma foto desse lugar onde se colocam os pratos.
No final do jantar, voce também pode pagar a conta pelo tablet. Ao pedir conta, o tablet mostra o total e um código QR para voce escanear com o telefone. Quando voce abre o link, voce pode conferir os itens da conta, o total, e voce pode pagar usando o próprio telefone.
É uma experiencia bem legal, e como eu disse, as crianças adoram.
