ENGLISH
Today I wanted to recreate a recipe that takes me to meet again with that child, with that teenager, with that adult who still perceives in the smells that special food that touches our soul.
It is a very easy recipe, typical of the Venezuelan gastronomy "Las Conservas de Coco", a delicacy uhmmm
LET'S BEGIN 😉
These preserves are prepared with water, sugar and coconut, yes, just 3 ingredients.
Ingredients:
Sugar
Shredded coconut
Water
The first thing we are going to do is to clean our coconut.
We take off that hard skin
We clean the brown layer with the help of a knife.
We wash very well
With the help of a cheese grater, preferably on the thick side, we grate everything
Here we already have all the coconut grated
My measurements are for each cup of coconut, I add half a cup of sugar.
We place in a pot coconut, sugar and half cup of water.
Cook over medium high heat and stir from time to time so that the sugar does not burn.
When our coconut is ready, we put it in a tray or in individual layers still hot, take small portions with two teaspoons.
Let it cool for a few minutes and it is ready to eat and enjoy this delicious snack.
I am grateful to know that you enjoyed this recipe as much as I did and I look forward to your comments.
So far my publication in this community with this very special recipe, keep in touch. Take care of yourselves
I made this recipe and post in honor of my mother, I miss her so much.....
