Hace muchísimo tiempo que no me emociona mi cumpleaños, aunque tampoco es que lo odie, simplemente es un día más y no me gusta hacer mucho ese día. No planeaba ni hacerme una torta, pero a última hora estuve revisando a ver si lo que tenía era suficiente para hacerme una torta y efectivamente así era.
No seguí ninguna receta en particular, solo jugué con lo que tenía. Utilicé: Harina de trigo leudante, huevos, leche, canela, naranja, queso crema, sal, zanahoria, aceite y esencia de vainilla.
It's been a long time since I've been excited about my birthday, although it's not that I hate it, it's just another day and I don't like to do much that day. I wasn't even planning on making a cake, but at the last minute I was checking to see if what I had was enough to make a cake and indeed it was.
I didn't follow any particular recipe, I just played with what I had. I used: Self-rising wheat flour, eggs, milk, cinnamon, orange, cream cheese, salt, carrot, oil and vanilla essence.
En un bol añadí 4 huevos, 3/4 taza de azúcar y una cucharadita de canela. Todo lo mezclé bien.
In a bowl I added 4 eggs, 3/4 cup of sugar and a teaspoon of cinnamon. I mixed everything well.
Utilicé una zanahoria y media, luego de pelarlas las rallé y les añadí el jugo de una naranja. Esto lo aparté para añadirlo a la mezcla más adelante.
Finalmente añadí una cucharadita de esencia de vainilla, dos tazas de harina de trigo, 1/3 taza de aceite vegetal y un chorrito de leche. Aunque olvidé fotografiar, lo último que añadí fue la zanahoria rallada mezclada con el jugo y la ralladura de una naranja.
I used a carrot and a half, after peeling them I grated them and added the juice of an orange. I set this aside to add to the mix later.
Finally I added a teaspoon of vanilla essence, two cups of wheat flour, 1/3 cup of vegetable oil and a splash of milk. Although I forgot to photograph, the last thing I added was the grated carrot mixed with the juice and zest of an orange.
Cubrí el molde con una capa de mantequilla y luego cubrí con harina de trigo, esto es esencial para que la torta no se pegue del molde.
También preparé un frosting con queso crema, ralladura de media naranja, jugo de media naranja y un poco de azúcar, mezclando todo muy bien hasta que quedara un frosting cremoso.
I covered the mold with a layer of butter and then covered with wheat flour, this is essential so that the cake does not stick to the mold.
I also prepared a frosting with cream cheese, zest from half an orange, juice from half an orange and a little sugar, mixing everything very well until a creamy frosting was left.
Luego de aproximadamente 40 minutos en el horno a 180 grados, ya la torta estaba lista. Para decorar luego corté un poco de maní en trozos pequeños.
After approximately 40 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees, the cake was ready. To decorate then I cut some peanuts into small pieces.
Cuidadosamente abrí la torta por la mitad y en el centro coloqué la mitad del frosting que preparé y luego cubrí la superficie con un poco de frosting. Al final añadí maní. Fue una torta muy sencilla, pero me encantó. Fue suficiente para encender una vela y pedir algunos deseos, y por supuesto deleitarme con el delicioso resultado.
I carefully opened the cake in half and in the center I placed half of the frosting that I prepared and then I covered the surface with a little frosting. At the end I added peanuts. It was a very simple cake, but I loved it. It was enough to light a candle and make a few wishes, and of course delight in the delicious result.
