CBTL and Café Talk are amongst our favourite cafes to hang out with, my sister Rica and I, and with her daughter (my niece) Kendra.
CBTL, short term for Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, is one of our go-to coffeehouses, specifically the Escario branch as it's closer to home. I could still remember it was where we spent the first January of 2019 as we were all completing stickers for its journal haha.
Speaking of journal, it is almost the "Ber" months which means cafés like CBTL and SB would have their yearly sticker collection for its planners/organizers. Anyway.
As for Café Talk, it is one of Kendra's fave places because she likes the "seats". It is a Korean inspired place and the tables and chairs are not the "usual" ones we see in Western cafes, as you can see in the photos. Aside from that, it's also located near our home so it's very convenient to visit.
The food photos here in this post are from Café Talk, here are my comments: As for their Tteokbokki, the 'pasta' texture is just right, not soggy not hard. The sauce has got the right amount of spicy kick. It tastes good, so definitely I'd recommend it. For the waffles with whipped cream, it's not "wow" for its price so I would not suggest you try it, although my niece loved it. The sandwich with fries are a good choice - yummy and worth the price. Personally I think their drinks are pricey for its quality, because I've tasted better coffees with similar prices, that's why.
We may well be in a cafe this weekend, so see yah - cheers to the weekend, Hive friends!☕
