My first brownie

I love moments when I achieve success and feel proud of myself. And I love small successes that make my loved ones smile.

A few days ago my husband celebrated his 39th birthday. He is a big fan of brownies, but I have never dared to make one until now. I always thought it was too difficult task for me. But this time I decided to try it with low expectations that I will succeed. I looked at several recipes and made a combination of ingredients that seemed good to me, and with that I made my brownie recipe, which turned out to be perfect and at the same time not difficult at all, so I'm happy to share it with you today.

For all those who are afraid of brownies and think that it is an incredible masterpiece and a specialty that can hardly turn out well, I am sharing this recipe and encouragement to try it because it is so easy that you will be surprised. 😊

You need white wheat flour, cocoa, sugar and vanilla sugar, two eggs, 170g of butter and 250g of dark chocolate with a high cocoa content.

First you need to melt the butter on low heat.

And then let it cool down a bit.

Add 8 tablespoons of sugar.

And 10g of vanilla sugar.

And mix well.

Then beat two eggs with a hand whisk.

I had help from my son, who adores his dad and wanted to help make the cake turn out great.

When your hand hurts, keep mixing for a few more minutes and know that's enough. 😊

Add the butter and sugar mixture to the eggs.

Break half of the chocolate (125g) into pieces and melt over low heat.

This is the moment when your home starts to smell like brownies. A magical experience. 😊

Add the melted chocolate to the egg, butter and sugar mixture and mix well to make the mixture compact.

Then add 5 full spoons of flour and 4 full spoons of cocoa to the mixture.

And chop the other half of the chocolate (125g) into small pieces. If you want, you can add chopped walnuts as well.

Now stir the mixture. At this stage I was very impatient because the mixture smelled so good that I couldn't wait for it to bake.

Pour the mixture on baking paper and bake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees. If you want the inside to be soft, bake for 25 minutes.

When you take the cake out of the oven, let it cool completely before cutting.

I didn't cut the cake until two hours later, when our guests arrived.

I served it with ice cream and wild blackberry jam that my mom made.

We recently picked blackberries ourselves on Tara mountain, so the jam was even sweeter because of that.

When I tried my first brownie I was blown away. The taste was fantastic and even better than all the brownies I've tried so far. The guests and my husband were also delighted and I received many compliments. In the end, everything turned out very simple and very tasty. Worth a try.
