Hello Foodies of Hive!
Happy Tuesday by the way.

If you have ripe banana at home? What do you think is the best way to eat it?
I'm kind've bored of eating it plain so I made this simple yet yummy and healthy banana bread.
Why healthy?
You'll find it out later.

Banana bread is perhaps the easiest bread to make as it doesn't involve much effort and time. And besides, it's healthy too with its simple ingredients.

Let's start the cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup soft/cake/bread flour
  • 2 pcs. eggs (you can only use one if you want, but with 2 eggs is yummier)
  • 50 grams butter (you can use vegetable oil if you want)
  • 2-5 tbsp. honey (the amount depends on your taste preference, I don't like too sweet)
    -1 tbsp. cinnamon (optional)
    -2 tbsp. milk (optional)
  • chia seeds and walnut for toppings (you can use other kinds of nuts for toppings)

Let's proceed to cooking:

The procedure is so easy, you just have to:

  • Put all ingredients in one big bowl (banana, egg, butter, honey, cinnamon, and milk). Mix them all until the banana is finely crashed.
  • Sift the flour onto it and mix them well.

  • Place the batter in a baking pan
  • Then bake for 20 minutes or until the bread is fully cooked.

You can use a chopstick to check the center part if it's fully done.

After 20 minutes...

Taddaa!!

The ingredients makes it healthy. Instead of using sugar, I used honey. And the fact that banana, is pact with nutrients too. Moreover, chia seeds and walnuts contains protein and the fiber content of chia seeds is good for digestion.
