Two days ago, I meet up with my closest friends for some food and adventure. As I mentioned on my previous blog the other day we usually spend more time with food than anything else. Like we always do!

It was quite rainy that day and the weather is not really cooperating.

We planned to visit Lake view in the mountain but since it's raining around lunch time we decided to instead dine in one of hiraya's favorite hotpot place at Parkmall in Mandaue. And wait until the sky clear up so we could try our luck to visit some of the places in the mountain.

On a separate table, you can choose your own sauce. They have some garlic, spring onions, paste, vinegar, soy sauce, chili and some more. So, you decide what kind of sauce you will make for your side sauce. Quite interesting right?

We really enjoyed the food 😋

It was great, I was expecting more on the Chinese kind of food but it seems like the combo set also had a Filipino twist. Which was also very good.

I have been to one of the hotpot place in SM seaside which is also a good one.

My most amazing unforgettable hotpot experienced was in Hong Kong. It was a high end kind of hot pot place with your own noddle guy making your choice of noodle in front of you. Booking the place is like winning the lottery. Thank goodness to our hotel concierge who really tried his best to get our spot at the table.

But this one, was actually good because it has a lot of local veggies and a cute bunny fish cake. It has some seafood option too. Like squid, scallops and even shrimp. But, we choose to have pork and beef instead. Me and Hiraya has some serious shellfish allergy. So, we always keep an eye of what we order. Thanks to our dear friends who always compromised their choice of food for us.

We saw the Kuya making a ton of coffee jelly on the other table when we arrived.

After we finished our hotpot meal. They gave us some dessert which is the coffee jelly made by Kuya with some condensed milk. This jelly thingy dessert is one of the best. You can taste the bitterness of the coffee and at the same time the sweetness of the condensed milk which is really a good combination.

After a big lunch feast, we decided to go up in the mountain and check for some hot chocolate and some Filipinos meryenda (snack). We really want to go to Lake view but since we're hesitant with the weather. We stopped at 21 KM. I have been there couple of times but the girls hasn't. So, we agree to stay and have some afternoon snack and maybe visit the Lake view for some other time.

21km is very easy to access. It's just on the main road. You'll see its sign from the outside. It's a small cafe with a very nice view of the mountain below.

Dark chocolate made of Cacao (Sikwati)

The dark chocolate was served with mango and sticky rice. While the coffee was served with moron. Which is also made of ground glutinous rice with some chocolate on it.

It's mostly served and sold as set. Which cost 100 to 135 pesos for each set.
