FIVE GUYS in Malaysia!

If you are from the US, I think you may know Five Guys!

It is an American fast food chain restaurant originated by the Murrell family who has 5 boys. It is a more casual like chain selling burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and milkshakes.

It was a huge hype when it first entered Malaysia, opening its first outlet in Genting Highlands. It has caused long queues and many people traveled up to the Highland just to have a taste of it, despite of its price.

The outlet I visited with my friend is their 2nd outlet in Malaysia in Pavilion, Bukit Bintang.

Honestly the menu and place looked minimalistic. There were no fancy designs or elaborate menu. They keep it simple and straight forward.

Let me bring you around the restaurant. As you can see from their graphics and wordings, they take real pride in their burgers and fries!

Because this is their motto!

The type of potatoes used to make their fries is also made known to us.

Here is the drinks counter where you can refillif you choose a soft drink for yourself.

We went to the counter to order. We only needed to choose what burger we want and its toppings. The concept is somewhat similar to Subway, if you ask me.

So we decided to share a hurger as we heard the portion is rather big. We ordered a cheeseburger which costs RM38 (about USD8.60) with some toppings, the smallest fries and a chocolate milkshake.

Would you like to guess the price? It cost us a total of RM73.50 excluding tax! This has got to be the most expensive burger I have eaten! Well my friend was the one very eager to try so she treated me hahah!

Next you may ask me if it is worth the price? Let's have a closer look at the burgers and fries and milkshake.

The burger was huge actually so we cut half to share between the two of us. Its taste is nice. The burger bun is soft and fluffy. But honestly, I think it is overpriced.

It has this very interesting malt vinegar which I love to dip my cajun fries in. The fries though we ordered the smallest, was a lot!

My Review and Thoughts

Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Price ⭐️

Okay the taste of the overall food and drinks are pleasant. My friend loves the milkshake. However for me to return and spend this amount again on a meal, maybe not!

That's all from me from Five Guys! Do you have Five Guys at where you are? Share with me your thoughts on it!
