The best Chinese food is Venezuelan.
It may sound strange to say it, but Chinese food made in Venezuela is the best in the world, it is incomparable, it is unique, not only those of us in Venezuela say it, but also our compatriots who now live in other countries recognize that there is nothing like the Chinese food cooked here, even when they mention the many things they miss about this country, at some point they always mention our Chinese food.
Before the pandemic, when everything was normal, here at home we had the habit of eating Chinese food on weekends, usually this food is quite economical and is enough to share with the family, but because of the pandemic we had avoided at all costs to buy processed foods, so we had more than a year without indulging in this treat.
Yesterday when we went out to pick up an Arabic meal that my wife had ordered for a friend, we passed very close to the Chinese restaurant where we regularly ate, and being a Friday, good memories of the pre-pandemic era came back to us, so we could not resist the temptation to buy take-out food.
We ordered two types of fried rice, one special with three types of meat: chicken, beef and pork, and another special with shrimp. As we both like sautéed vegetables we also ordered a chopsuey with chicken and shrimp.

And finally, a couple of lumpias, which are a variety of spring rolls stuffed with vegetables and meat, although they also prepare them stuffed with ham and cheese, which are my children's favorite.

All this banquet, seasoned with traditional soy and sweet and sour sauces, a classic of Chinese cuisine.
I tell you something friends, this food has something special, I do not know if it is the fact of associating it with the weekends, with the days of rest, with the fact of not cooking, or with the tastiness of eating with family, the truth is that a day of Chinese food is always a pleasure to share.

La mejor comida china, es Venezolana.
Puede sonar extraño decirlo, pero la comida china hecha en Venezuela es la mejor del mundo, es incomparable, es única, no solo lo decimos quienes estamos en Venezuela, sino también los compatriotas que hoy residen en otros países que reconocen que nada como la comida china que aquí se cocina, incluso cuando en oportunidades mencionan las muchas cosas que extrañan de este país, en algún punto siempre mencionan la comida china.
Antes de la pandemia, cuando todo era normal, aquí en casa teníamos la costumbre de comer comida china los fines de semana, generalmente esta comida es bastante económica y rinde lo suficiente como para compartir en familia, pero a raíz de la pandemia habíamos evitado a toda costa comprar comidas elaboradas, así que teníamos más de un año sin darnos este gustico.
Ayer que salimos a buscar una comida árabe que mi esposa había encargado para un amigo, pasamos muy cerca del restaurant chino donde regularmente comíamos, y siendo un día viernes, nos llegaron los buenos recuerdos de la época pre-pandemia, así que no nos pudimos resistir a la tentación de comprar comida para llevar.
Ordenamos dos tipos de arroz frito, uno especial con tres tipos de carnes: pollo, res y cerdo, y otro especial con camarones. Como a ambos nos gustan los vegetales salteados también pedimos un chopsuey con pollo y camarones.

Y para finalizar, un par de lumpias, que son una variedad de rollitos de primavera rellenos de vegetales y carne, aunque también los preparan rellenos de jamón y queso que son los favoritos de mis hijos.

Todo este banquete, aderezado con las tradicionales salsas de soja y agridulce, un clásico de la cocina china.
Esta comida tiene algo especial, yo no sé si es el hecho de asociarla con los fines de semana, con los días de descanso, con el hecho de no cocinar, o con lo sabroso de comer en familia, lo cierto es que un día de comida china siempre es un grato compartir.
