Good morning everyone,
This morning I want to share with us my street food breakfast. In Nigeria, bread akara is a very common delicacy and I think it's eaten many States here but uts mostly common among the Yorubas. The akara is prepared with beans.
For its method of preparation....
You soak it, remove the haul and going going pepper and and onions once it's soft. After that, you'd mix it until its soft and then it can be fried ( with little salt to taste) inside hot vegetable oil.
Because its method of preparation is a bit tedious to be making in the morning, people opt for buying it. Fortunately its very common as street food in the morning. And it's usually sold beside bread because its very delicious to eat with bread. Some people also take it with paper and other food but its most common combination is with bread.
So this morning I got this freshly fried akara and bread from a woman selling in the neighbourhood. You get to buy them as hot as it is and it's usually very tasty.
Before one ball goes for just 10naira, now it sells for 20naira because the price for beans is now double its original price. So for 200naira, you get 10balls of bean cake.
I like to put my akara in between bread because it taste nicer that way.
