For today’s lunch, I revisited a gem I recently discovered: the mixed vegetable rice stall named Xing Long Cooked Food. Even though I last visited over a week ago, I can still vividly remember the delightful dishes I tried. What I love about this place is the fantastic variety of freshly made, delicious cooked foods. These are exactly the traits I look for when choosing a spot for mixed vegetable rice!
I was tempted by the enticing fish dishes on display, but my eyes were drawn to the sautéed tofu. The tofu looked absolutely scrumptious, with a sauce that promised to be flavorful. Plus, tofu has become one of my lunchtime favorites.
One reason I enjoy tofu so much is its lightness. Eating tofu at lunch leaves me satisfied but not stuffed or bloated, unlike heavier meat dishes like pork or beef. I also believe tofu's protein content helps fuel my afternoon activities, even if that’s not backed by hard science; it's just something that works for me!
In addition to the tofu, I also ordered sautéed chicken and stir-fried water spinach. This plate was a perfect combination that left me feeling truly satisfied. The total cost for this delightful meal was just $4.50; a fantastic deal for such a filling and nutritious spread.
To complement my meal, I also got a refreshing soya bean drink. It’s perfect for cooling down on a warm day and serves as a light, delicious dessert thanks to the sugar pearls I added.
All in all, this meal was a winner, combining great taste, affordability, and satisfaction in one delicious package!
