Indonesian cuisine always tastes better than other dishes, that's my opinion. Who has spent years living in a foreign land. Enjoying an Indonesian menu, is like returning to your hometown, even if for a moment through food. No wonder, friends will hunt for Indonesian food while on vacation.

Last week, I broke my fast by enjoying “Ayam Geprek” at Indo Syariah Restaurant, which is under the ground of Taipei Main Station (TMS). One serving of food costs NTD 200.

  • The food menu consists of
  • Chicken Geprek
  • Penyet fried tempeh
  • Rice (Can be yellow rice or plain rice)
  • Salad (Cabbage, cucumber, and Kemangi Leaf)

Coinciding with the fasting month, the shop owner gives tajil a free glass of fruit ice. I went there with a friend, who ordered a different menu, namely; Ketoprak, is a food consisting of rice cake (rice cooked for a long time and put in plastic) plus various types of boiled vegetables, then mixed with peanut sauce. It's so delicious.

Another Menu: called Ketoprak

Syharia restaurants provide various types of Indonesian menus, besides Penyet Chicken, you can also order various other types of menus: Grilled Buru Dara, Grilled Fish, Bakso Chicken Noodles, Chicken Satay and Goat Satay. In this place, the special thing is that buyers can take their own rice, according to the portion and taste. So that you can measure, how much you want to eat.

Another menu: Satte

According to my own taste, Geprek Chicken is quite delicious, especially accompanied by a glass of warm tea without sugar. Because I learned to reduce sugar for health. While enjoying food, you will listen to Indonesian music, so that it will make you feel like you are in your homeland. Sharia restaurant, enough recommendations for those of you who miss Indonesian food and visit Taiwan.
