The recipe I share with you today is ideal to prepare any weekend to share at home with friends or to take to a picnic in the park. It is made in simple steps, with simple ingredients and without the need for many specific tools.

It is a sweet recipe, with a majority of whole ingredients, so it provides satiety easily, with an intense flavor thanks to the essential oils of the orange and its juice. It also provides fiber, which is offered by the inclusion of carrots.

A recipe that is worth taking into account for its simple steps and its satisfying result.

La receta que les comparto hoy es ideal para preparar cualquier fin de semana para compartir en casa con amigos o para llevar a un picnic en el parque. Se hace en simples pasos, con ingredientes sencillos y sin necesidad de muchas herramientas específicas.

Es una receta dulce, con mayoría de ingredientes integrales, por lo que brinda saciedad fácilmente, de sabor intenso gracias a los aceites esenciales de la naranja y su jugo. Ademas aporta fibra que nos ofrece la inclusión de la zanahoria.

Una receta que vale la pena tener en cuenta por sus pasos tan sencillos y su resultado tan satisfactorio.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED? // QUE VAS A NECESITAR?

ENGESP
1 cup of leavening flour.
Or regular flour plus 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
1 cup of whole wheat flour.
100 gr of brown sugar.
1 teaspoon cinnamon.
2 eggs.
80 ml of oil.
Juice and zest of one orange.
1 teaspoon vanilla.
1 grated carrot.

For the glaze:
100 gr impalpable sugar.
The juice of half an orange.
1 taza de harina leudante. O común más 1 cdita de polvo de hornear.
1 taza de harina integral.
100 gr de azúcar mascabo.
1 cdita de canela.
2 huevos.
80 ml de aceite.
El jugo y ralladura de una naranja.
1 cdita de vainilla.
1 zanahoria rallada.

Para el glaseado:
100 gr de azúcar impalpable.
El jugo de media naranja.

AND NOW WHAT? // Y AHORA QUE?

Start by integrating the wet ingredients (eggs, oil, vanilla, orange juice and orange zest). Then add the sugar and integrate.

Empieza integrando los ingredientes húmedos (huevos, aceite, vainilla, jugo de naranja y su ralladura). Luego agrega el azúcar e integra.

On the other side integrate the dry ingredients (flours, cinnamon, baking powder).
Add it to the wet mixture in two parts and mix until you are sure there are no lumps.
Add the grated carrot to the mixture.

Agrégalo a la mezcla húmeda en dos partes y mezcla hasta asegurarte que no queden grumos.
Integra a la mezcla la zanahoria rallada.

When the mixture is homogeneous, place in a previously oiled and floured baking pan and bake in a medium/low oven for 50 minutes.

THE GLAZE// EL GLASEADO.

While baking, to prepare the glaze, pour the powdered sugar into the orange juice in several batches while mixing so that there are no lumps. You will get a fluid mixture with a consistency similar to that of a syrup that will add sweetness, acidity and moisture.
Add to the baked and unmolded cake.

Mientras se hornea, para preparar el glaseado viertes el azúcar impalpable en el jugo de naranja en varias tandas mientras mezclas para que no queden grumos. Quedará una una mezcla fluída con consistencia similar a la de un almbíbar que aportará dulzor, acidéz y humedad.
Agrega a la torta horneada y desmoldada.
