Y comenzamos a amasar

You can also use a manual one
Remove all the dough or mashed cassava that comes out of the mill.
When we obtain the dough, we add the egg
a splash of the molasses of papelón
Add the wheat flour by parts
And we begin to knead
We make a ball with the dough
And form a mini arepita.
We take it to the hot oil to fry. **Keep an eye on them because they are done very fast.
When golden brown, remove and let cool for a second.
Previously to have ready the melado or syrup of papelón
In a saucepan place the papelón with the water, cloves and aniseed.
We take to medium heat and do not stop moving so that it does not burn.
When it is thick enough we lower the fire and let it cool down.
Once the syrup has cooled, pour it into a cup.
Then each fritter is introduced into the cup to bathe it with the papelón that will give it that sweet touch.
For those who do not like the syrup can also eat it alone, they are very rich just the same.
Very traditional these yucca fritters friends here in my country Venezuela during Holy Week.
