Good day everyone, today I'm gonna share to you my own way/version of cooking pork sinigang.
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 (1/2 inch) piece fresh ginger, chopped
4 gloves of garlic
2 pound bone-in pork chops
4 cups water, more if needed
1 (1.41 ounce) package tamarind mix
1 whole cabbage
3 spring onion
1 gabi/taro if you want
1-4 siling haba
Heat the vegetable oil and saute the onion, garlic, and ginger over medium heat about 5 minutes or until they turn brown.
Then add the sliced pork You may also use other pork slices such as shoulders but this time i'm using parts with bones. Add some fish sauce and continue to cook until the pork turns light brown.
And its time to add the water and let the water to boil then add gabi/taro if you want the soup thicker.
Make sure to cook the pork until very tender then add cabbage, sinigang mix or tamarind mix and salt to taste.
