FOODlog #394: Japanese Food @ Sushi King

After visiting the aquaria today at the KL City Center, we had dinner at Sushi King in Avenue K. We wanted to eat somewhere else but that place we wanted to have dinner has gone out of business since last year during the pandemic lockdowns.

So we had to settle with the nearest shop there which was Sushi King.

We shared some sushi and for my own portion I got the Gyu Donburi which is thinly sliced grilled beef with Japanese rice.

The Gyu Donburi was super delicious. The beef had a nice char sort of fragrance and aroma and it was tossed with sweet soy sauce topped with spring onions. So it tasted smokey, sweet, and had freshness from the spring onions. A very harmonious combination and really enjoyed this bowl of delicious beef and rice.

We also ordered some refreshing iced green tea to end the meal.

Not the first choice for dinner but it was satisfying and filled our tummy. Thankful for food and family ❤️
