What a surprise dinner at Così Com'è restaurant! 🍕🍝

A few nights ago, passing through the city of Fasano, we had dinner in a small and elegant pizzeria, recommended by TripAdvisor as one of the most voted and with positive reviews. The Pizzeria So Com'è looks like a classic rustic pizzeria but the outside room has been prepared and decorated with simple and effective furnishing elements and immediately surprised me in a positive way. Located a few steps from the dense vegetation, the restaurant has an external environment made up of wooden flooring, like most of the furniture and a simple but characteristic cover in hemp wood.

The waitress immediately welcomed us and made us sit at a table near the cultivation of aromatic plants, all hanging on the wall, used by the cook for the pre-emption of the dishes. An intense scent of basil and rosemary pleasantly welcomed our arrival. After having consulted the menu, rich but not too much because all the dishes are made with ingredients at 0 km and therefore not always available, we chose our pizzas and a plate of pasta with tomato for our son, as well as a small appetizer of fried potatoes. The potatoes are made at the moment and cooked with the peel, in fact the taste is very different from industrial potatoes and in a short time the appetizer was quickly consumed.

My son particularly liked the pasta with tomato and rocket, a typical pasta of Puglia and called orecchiette for the typical shape that recalls the ears. The owner's mother has been preparing pasta every morning with her hands for decades now and flaunts kilos of pasta that tourists like so much. Look at what a nice plate of pasta, really tempting!

The pizzas arrived immediately after, accompanied by the typical scent of burnt wood used for cooking. Beautiful to the eye, fragrant and really delicious! I ordered the crudaiola pizza with raw and chopped tomatoes, rocket, parmesan cheese flakes and a drizzle of olive oil, always local production. The pizza is really giant, albeit thin, and cooking with wood has given it a very pleasant crunchiness to the taste. The use of natural yeast made the dough perfectly digestible without any problems for digestion.

We really spent a very pleasant evening, finished sipping an artisanal liqueur based on aromatic herbs and licorice, a really good end of the meal. During our stay, the waitresses made us feel a little at home, telling us anecdotes, pieces of history of the activity and then they loved playing with our son and between a break and the other stopped to chat with him.

The dinner cost a total of 40 euros, an absolutely correct price for all the reasons listed: accuracy of the restaurant, hospitality and kindness of the staff, quality of the food. I recommend anyone who is from these locations in southern Italy to test their culinary experience!
