A suggestive place where we dined yesterday and that I like to be able to share with you, is called Corte Bianchi, located in the courtyard of a historic building in the city of Trani, dating back to the fourteenth century and now partially transformed into a very characteristic restaurant. Access is through a huge iron door that leads into a large well-kept space decorated with natural elements and from here you enter one of the rooms which then leads into the internal garden. Well, you can imagine the size of the building, also considering that the stairs lead to the residential area where there are several families who live there. The restaurant is located in the historic center and is very close to the city port, therefore an absolutely strategic position.
The restaurant has a long internal corridor, passing from the American bar and the open kitchen, decorated with many pieces of furniture from the last century, some rare collectibles. The internal garden is large and airy and is organized in dedicated spaces with tables both on the grass and on the avenue, at the discretion of the customers. We preferred a table on the lawn, more characteristic and particular, with comfortable and spacious seats. Corte Bianchi serves both traditional culinary specialties and more elegant dishes, seafood dishes or pizzas, leaving a wide choice to customers.
The garden is well lit and isolated from city traffic and soft background music immerses customers in a very special, very romantic and private atmosphere. I ordered a salad with the addition of slices of swordfish, tomatoes, onion and corn. Oil, vinegar and salt are served separately at the discretion of the customer's tastes, some slices of good warm bread are ideal for consuming my salad.
A good draft beer made my salad even more tasty and enjoyable, the menu offers a good choice between beers and wine, although I am a lover of soda and foam. After dinner, the restaurant offers some typical desserts such as tiramisu and chocolate soufflé or some ice creams, exclusively in summer. The cost of the dinner was decent, 20 euros. The price is on average low, the quality of the food is medium-high, the place deserves an A ++, there are some hammocks on which you can lie down and wait for digestion and simply close your eyes for a few minutes and enjoy the tranquility of the place.
Corte Bianchì is a place that I recommend especially to couples or small groups of adults. It is not a restaurant for a group of young boys, the target is different and too much noise would disturb the peace of the place and the tranquility of the customers. A really great restaurant!
