There are days when you can't get out of bed. Today dawned very cold and raining. This weather activates my allergies, but I have a favorite food that cures everything. It is Chinese food, especially wonton soup.
Hay días que no provoca salir de la cama. Hoy amaneció muy frío y lloviendo. Es un clima que activa mis alergias, pero tengo una comida favorita que me cura todo y es la comida china, en especial la sopa wonton.
Today is one of the days that I am grateful to live in the 21st century with many apps to order delivery from the comfort of my bed. Without thinking too much, I consulted with the rest of the family to see what their order was, and in a few minutes, I had the food at home. A meal with quality in its temperature, texture, and especially delicious taste.
Hoy es uno de los días que agradezco vivir en el siglo XXI con muchas app para pedir delivery desde la comodidad de mi cama. Sin pensarlo mucho consulté con el resto de la familia para ver cuál era su pedido y en pocos minutos ya tenía la comida en casa. Una comida con calidad en su temperatura, textura y en especial delicioso sabor.
If there is a way to feel pampered, it is when the food arrives at your bed on a tray, when I was in front of it I said: "I'm a queen, I feel better now" hahaha. Now don't think that I ate all that by myself because indigestion would be terrible.
Si hay una forma de sentirse consentida, es cuando te llega la comida a la cama en una bandeja, al estar frente a ella dije: "Soy una reina, ya me siento mejor" jajaja. Ahora no vayan a pensar que yo solita me comí todo eso porque la indigestión sería terrible.
My family likes chowfan rice, fried spring roll, grilled pork ribs, and sweet and sour chicken. For me, wonton soup is enough but, I have a secret ingredient which is sesame oil. I love to add a few drops and the flavor of the soup intensifies like magic.
A mi familia le gusta mucho el arroz tipo chowfan, rollitos primavera fritos, costillas de cerdo asadas y pollo agridulce. Para mi con la sopa wonton es suficiente pero tengo un ingrediente secreto que es el aceite sésamo. Me encanta agregarle unas gotas y el sabor de la sopa se intensifica parece magia.
You may say that with only one soup, you can get hungry, but this soup has vegetables and chicken stuffed dumplings. And with a 25-ounce capacity, that's a good amount of food.
Ustedes dirán con solo una sopa pueden quedar con hambre, pero esta sopa tiene vegetales y masas rellenas de pollo. Además el envase es de una capacidad de 25 onzas, vaya que es una buena cantidad de comida.
This time the pork ribs were very big. They looked like Brontosaurus, the kind that Fred Flintstone ate. However, they were delicious, and the meat was tender.
En esta oportunidad las costillas de cerdo eran muy grandes, parecían de brontosario, de esas que comía Pedro Picapiedra. Sin embargo estaban deliciosas y la carne suave.
Although the spring rolls and sweet and sour chicken were hot, the speed with which the food arrived at my house did not allow time for the steam to make it lose its crunchiness. Another good thing is not to put the sweet and sour sauce directly on the chicken. They put the sweet and sour sauce in a separate container, and you add it when you eat it.
A pesar de estar caliente los rollos primavera y el pollo agridulce, la rapidez con que llegó la comida a mi casa no dió tiempo a que el vapor hiciera perder su crocancia. Otra cosa acertada también es no colocarle la salsa agridulce directamente al pollo. La salsa agridulce te la colocan en un envase aparte y tu se lo agregas al momento de consumirlo.
I hope the weather improves so I can overcome my allergies, but as long as there is Chinese food, I think happiness is guaranteed despite the discomfort. As the old doctors used to say, as long as the patient is hungry, there is nothing to worry about hahaha.
Espero que el clima mejore y así poder superar mis alergias, pero mientras haya comida china creo que la felicidad está garantizada a pesar del malestar. Como decían los médicos antiguos, mientras el paciente tenga hambre no hay de que preocuparse jajaja
