Estoy pasando unos días de visita en casa de mi familia en Caracas y como venía en plan de vacaciones no me traje mis utensilios de cocina. Aunque sabía que aquí adoran que prepare mis postres, confiaba en que tenían una batidora eléctrica con la que podría hacerlos. Sin embargo, la batidora de aquí está dañada.

I'm spending a few days visiting my family's house in Caracas and since I was coming on vacation, I didn't bring my kitchen utensils. Even though I knew they love me making my desserts here, I was confident they had an electric mixer that I could make them with. However, the mixer here is damaged.

La cosa es que mi prima necesitaba una tres leches para llevarle a su jefa de cumpleaños, pero se me hacía imposible hacerla sin un batidor eléctrico, entonces ella pidió una prestada a una amiga. Mi sorpresa es cuando mi prima llega a casa con un batidor Kitchenaid, casi lloro jajajaja.

The thing is, my cousin needed a tres leches to take to her boss for her birthday, but I couldn't make it without an electric mixer, so she borrowed one from a friend. My surprise is when my cousin comes home with a Kitchenaid whisk, I almost cried hahahaha.

Siempre he querido uno, pero son demasiado costosos 😭 tengo entendido que no bajan de los 300$-400$ y eso es muy difícil de ahorrar para nosotros en mi país. Así que mi emoción cuando vi que iba a usar uno aunque fuera por un rato era demasiada jajaja. Como niña con juguete nuevo, literalmente.

I've always wanted one, but they are too expensive 😭 I understand that they do not go below $ 300 - $ 400 and that is very difficult for us to save in my country. So my excitement when I saw that I was going to use one even for a little while was too much hahaha. Like a girl with a new toy, literally.

Les puede parecer tonto que me emocione por esto, pero así soy yo, siempre tratando de disfrutar las cosas buenas que me suceden a diario, por pequeñas que sean, pero para mí era un sueño poder usar una de estas batidoras y poder probar si eran solo bonitas o si también eran muy útiles.

It may seem silly that I get excited about this, but that's the way I am, always trying to enjoy the good things that happen to me every day, no matter how small, but for me it was a dream to be able to use one of these mixers and be able to test if they were just pretty or if they were also very useful.

Para mi grata sorpresa, me encantó usarla, alivia el trabajo, además tiene mucha potencia y los accesorios que trae son geniales.

To my pleasant surprise, I loved using it, it eases work, it also has a lot of power and the accessories it brings are great.

Preparé un bizcochuelo para la tres leches de la jefa de mi prima y no tardé ni 10 minutos haciéndola, las claras de huevo llegaron a punto de nieve muy rápido.

I made a sponge cake for my cousin's boss's tres leches and it didn't take me 10 minutes to make it, the egg whites reached the point of snow very quickly.

El merengue suizo que hice para decorar la torta también quedó espectacular, con una textura aireada y sedosa, no hubo necesidad de agregarle cremor tártaro que es un químico que a veces uso para darle más consistencia al merengue, en este caso el batidor hizo el trabajo estupendamente.

The Swiss meringue that I made to decorate the cake was also spectacular, with an airy and silky texture, there was no need to add cream of tartar which is a chemical that I sometimes use to give the meringue more consistency, in this case the whisk made work great.
