LABTINGAW (A PROCESS OF MODERATELY SALTING AND DRYING FISH)

Hi guys, this is me again @bigmike420, what I'm gonna show you to today is a process that is passed by generations through generations, in our dialect it is called "labtingaw" and this process is when you moderately dry a fish with moderate salt and with sliced garlic to add flavor.

The image that I will show is a process made by our neighbor that is a fisherman. His name is Nenito and he is fishing for years and knows everything on what to do in every kind of fish.

In this image you can see that the fish is already clean and ready to be processed. He also prepares the garlic for its coating.

and now the finished product, it is now ready to be put under the heat of the sun for a day or day. Not like a typical dried fish that you only put salt in it and put under the sun for weeks.

as you can see it covered with net to keep the insects from dropping into the processed fish. They will put under the for only a day or two enough for it to soak the flavor of the salt and garlic.

That is it for today guys. I hope that you learned something and I hope that you will upvote this post. Thanks <3
