Mackerel Steam Hongkong Recipe. You Must To Try at Home!

Hello foodies..
In my area, Ikan Kembung or ‘Mackerel Fish’ are being sold in the market.
The price is also variety, ranging from 25.000 idr until 35.000 idr / kg.
Because have no other choice, I'm cooking mackerel in a different way than usual.
Often all the variations to cook mackerel fish is fried in chili sauce (sambal), but this day is different.
I saw a few recipes variant of mackerel fish and I want to try to cook Mackerel Steam Hongkong, initially I was hesitant to try, but ultimately successful, and it taste is so good.

We only needs some ingredients:

  • Mackerel Fish
  • Lime
  • Chilli
  • Shallot
  • Garlic
  • Selery
  • Belimbing wuluh
  • Ginger
  • Salt
  • Mushroom stock
  • Oyster sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Soy sauce
  • 150ml water

How to cook:

  • Clean the mackerel fish with lime juice and salt, then wait up to 5 minutes and wash with clean water

  • Cut a small shape of chilli, shallot, garlic and ginger

  • Steam mackerel fish for 5 minutes to dispose of fish waste, waste water the rest of the steam

  • Heat the wok pan with olive oil, enter the first: garlic and shallot and saute until slightly golden brown
