The Little Things

It's nice to get out for dinner when time allows and when the household budget allows. Our kids always enjoy it and they have their favourite haunts around my hometown.

You don't want to do it so often that it becomes banal, but at the same time, they won't be young forever, so it's nice to treat them when we can.

We got out for dinner over the weekend. I got steak and the photos don't really do it justice to be honest. It was a lovely cut cooked to perfection and I really enjoyed it.

Herself went for the loaded beef nachos and was delighted with her choice.

The kids all went for chicken and chips and to be fair it was a good portion of chicken.

I even got some onion rings on the side for my meals sure why not!

A great evening

We had a great evening telling stories and shooting the breeze to our hearts content. The food went down well, the kids enjoyed some fizz and my wife and I had a glass of wine each.

My son had me in stitches with a joke he told, albeit inappropriate for a ten year old like him to know. One of his neighbours, who is a year older told him it. Do ye want to hear it? Of course ye do!

Pretty damn funny, I wasn't sure whether to laugh or give him a bollicking, I ended up laughing though 🤣🤣🤣
