I should probably follow the advice of the Queen of Cups:
This might also call for a hefty dose of compassion – sometimes simply being supportive for someone is all they need. Channeling your inner Miss Honey and using a listening ear, an open mind, and a bazillion hugs can go a long way towards healing and understanding.
To be honest, today morning an old lady asked me to give 300 HUF (about $1 USD) to her, because she wanted to buy foods for her children. I said to her that I cannot help, and I walked away, crossed the road. I instantly regretted not giving her some money, but I was in a hurry, and I did not even glanced back.
I strongly feel that I should have helped her. Especially taking into account/considering the fact that I was in a similar situation in the past, and people helped me. Both with money and with food.
I try to be a better person. If I meet and recognize her, then I will help her.
