A Difficult Conversation

A DIFFICULT CONVERSATION

Hypersensitivosaurus usually tended to please people . He struggled with them projecting their anger or frustration on them. But, today, the pleasing was impossible. He had to be as honest as he could be, with the likelihood of hurting her feelings...

The tension had been building lately and a confrontation was needed before the volcano erupted.

They talked for about 15 minutes. He was as straight forward as he could be. It was hard to look her in the eyes.

When they left, the final phrase that she uttered still rang inside his head:

"You don't know how sensitive I am."

To which he replied:

"You don't know how sensitive I am...

and added:

"Or perhaps you do."

as he felt he had been more open toward her in their past conversations than she had been to him.

It had all been a matter of miscommunication. Especially the things that they had felt but hadn't necessarily shared or phrased.

They couldn't look into each other's mind. Contrary to believes, raptors weren't telepathic.
They hardly understood their own reptile brains let alone those of others.

The last glance he caught of her was a teary eyed face.

It was likely that they would never cross paths again.

Raptors had huge territories and she would move to another area to make sure they wouldn't bump into each other any longer. A future confrontation would probably be lethal, it wasn't worth the risk.

Aside from that, she had wheels and he hadn't, so it would be easier for her to distance herself.

It was a shame that it had to come to this but it clearly had been necessary. The universe had other plans for them.
