Vegan Red Lentil Curry | Instant and Easy Recipe.

collage.jpg

Lentil curry is one of our favorite side dishes with rice. It works great as gravy. Almost every single day we cook it. It's a plant-based protein so people treat it as a low-cost source of protein too.

The cooking process is very simple. If you use a pressure cooker, it can be done in just 15 minutes.

So let's thee the detailed recipe!

What we need?

  • Red lentil
  • Garlic
  • Tomato
  • Five spices
  • Green chili
  • Dried red chili
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Turmeric powder
  • Bay Leaves
  • Vegetable oil

How to make it?

Wash the lentil properly and put it in a pressure cooker or pan with a good amount of water. Add turmeric powder, salt, and Bay Leaves.

Wait for two whistles on the cooker or 15 minutes on a pan to take it off/properly cooked.

Yes as simple as I said.

It takes only a few ingredients and a few minutes but this dish is full of flavors. We have a tradition to eat rice along with lentil curry and mashed potato, nothing else. This is totally plant-based, vegan, easy to prepare, and full of nutrition.

You can add a small amount of water to make it more gravy so you can enjoy it like soup or with roti; the way you want. There are many other ways to prepare lentils, I will try to share some more soon.
