Supplements - Is taking them wise or foolish?

Is it wise to take supplements instead of eating the healthy foods?

Definitely not. I personally never see supplements as a substitute for a healthy diet, yet they can serve as a powerful addition to it. Especially if you are challenged by health conditions, using specific supplements can help your body to recover more quickly and with more ease. And if you struggle with long-term ailments and your food choices alone don't seem to cut it anymore - supplements can be the kind of support you need to move forward.

Are all supplements equally good?

Not every kind of supplement is the same. The quality differs tremendously among brands and some of them can certainly do more harm than good. When buying supplements, always check the ingredients list and avoid citric acid, natural flavors, alcohol, animal products, whey protein, and any preservatives.

I personally always choose vegan supplements and prefer to use products by Vimergy which I trust to be of high quality (no affiliation).

What supplements are helpful for your condition?

There are a few supplements that are a good foundation for practically any health-conscious person out there such as Zinc, B12 and spirulina. Apart from that, if you would love to use specific supplements to help overcome your personal health challenges, I also offer such individual advice in my coaching sessions.

Supplements I would always avoid are protein powders, fish oil, collagen, multi-vitamins, chlorella and supplements for hair, nail and skin.

I've been using supplements as a support for health and regeneration on and off for many years now and learned a lot about the right kind of supplements as well as how to choose them wisely and not overwhelm our body. They helped me tremendously to move forward in my journey - along with my daily food and lifestyle choices.
