Sri lankan spicy gravy/ rasam for healthy life - thembum hodhi

Rasam Hodda is a medicinal drink made from a combination of many medicinal spices that many people in Sri Lanka take when they are sick.

This rasam gravy is also called miris gravy, kayam garvy and thembum gravy.

Rasam hodda or chilli hodda has been added to food since ancient times and it is known by different names in different regions.

That is, for fever patients, for patients with diarrhea, for abdominal diseases such as indigestion, this boiling gravy can be used to burn body fat.

Special spices available in the kitchen are used for this. specially the ingredients used for this is the bark obtained from the stem of the drumstick plant.

Other spices like coriander, garlic, cumin seed, curry leaves
Pepper and etc...

Each of these spices can provide different benefits to the body. They are listed below one by one.

Garlic

It contains nutrients to cure many physical diseases.

Weakened immune system can be cured

pepper

Pepper known as black gold among the spices is used in the preparation of thembum gravy and it is a spice that contains very valuable ingredients. By using this, you can cure cholesterol, stomach diseases, anorexia, colds, flu etc.

Curry leaves

When cooking any food, curry is used to increase its taste and health. In addition, many diseases can be cured. Benefits of curry leaves can be obtained from regular digestion, blood purification, body detoxification, fat burning, blood sugar control etc..

Coriander

Coriander is the main spice used in the preparation of thembum hodi

It is advisable to add coriander to improve blood circulation, relieve oral diseases, relieve colds, control cholesterol, and relieve stomach ailments.

cumin seed

Another spice used in making Tambhum hodi. Cumin seed is important to improve appetite, burn fat and increase body strength to cure phlegm.

So now let's see how to make thembum hodi at home

**Ingredients for need **

Coriander 2tbsp
Pepper 1tsp
Cumming seed 1tbsp
1-2 pieces of snoring
Small piece of moringa bark
Pinch of curry leaves
3 - 4 cloves of garlic
1- 2 Rampa
Small piece of ginger
Bit of fenugreek seed
2 pod of dry chilly

Rampa, garlic, fenugreek and tamarind, these are also used to make this drink more delicious, healthy and attractive

Method of making

First, grind dry chili coriander, pepper and cumming seed well using traditional grinder.

Then crush garlic ginger red onion and moringa bark.

Then add the cup of water and bit of salt.

Add all these and boil well for about 20 minutes.

Finally, I would like to say that this rasam gravy should be used by lactating mothers to increase the milk .
