Today I have decided to make a pickle with beetroot and carrot as the main ingredients. This kind of pickels are very common in our native. It's because of we can preserve it for a long time and it consumes only a few minutes to prepare.
For this I have taken one beetroot and two carrot. Those are very fresh and properly cleaned. The amount of these can be vary according to our need.
Slice them into very small pieces.
The presence of garlic have major role in the taste of pickle, so I prefer to add some with curry leaf and sliced chilly.
After boiling the oil, the 3 ingredients Chill, curry leaf and garlic were added.
Later add pickle powder and sliced vegetables into the pan.
Sufficient amount of diluted salt is added. Which gives the pickle a gravy look.(The presence of oil also gives the look). Mix all of them in a light flame for few minutes.
After preparing the pickle we need to keep it in dry place. Because exposing to moister increases the chance for getting fungus.
