Lotus Garden Newsletter for Homesteaders. 11th November 2020

Is it just me or does it seem to be getting quieter here? Still, I'm glad to have been able to unearth some gems for you this week again. I hope you enjoy.

Things happening in the community.

This month @naturalmedicine is doing something a little different for the challenge and giving three questions or ideas to pick and choose from. Pick one, two or all and write as often as you like on each. The choice and adventure is yours!

There is one week left to prepare your needlework entries for @needleworkmonday's needlework your Barbie contest. Entries should be submitted on Monday 16th November. As eager as you may be to share early, please try to save them for this date so as not to be missed.

Some highlights of the week

In Nigeria @maxdevalue is looking at food security in a drought stricken region with little money to spare. He discuses how waste can be made into value and leads by example to solve littering problems.

What sort of things would you need to consider for living off the grid? Living in Canada, @porters shares some of the preparations they have in place should the need arise.

People are turning to more natural deodorants for a variety of reasons, but it can be hard for some to find something that really works for them. Having a range of intolerances, @phoenixwren has found it particularly hard to find something that works, until now.

@trucklife-family offers some literal food for thought on the food we eat. Are we getting the nourishment we need in today's fast food world?

Each week one of our featured authors will be selected to be a 5% beneficiary of The Lotus Garden newsletter. This week @trucklife-family will receive this award.

Thank you for stopping by. This week's newsletter was brought to you by @minismallholding.
