With the release of the IPCC climate change report this week, many of us have renewed anxiety and concern about the world we live in, and with various climate disasters around the world (including, arguably, disease and viruses), there is a sense of urgency. When politicians are not always acting and are often full of empty rhetoric, it is up to us to continue our own activism, from the small ways to the larger ways. Whatever this might mean for you, we invite you to write a post that is focussed on earth healing, nourishing and protecting. We ARE earth - to heal ourselves is to heal the planet, and vice verse.
We're again uniting with @holo-lotus and @mirriannalis to bring you this August challenge. It will run for 12 days - beginning now, with last entries due on Wednesday 25th August, 8 pm UTC (twelve days). Please post your entry below - you can enter as many times as you like.
The basic theme is "In Harmony with Mother Earth" - you can contribute by drawing, writing, community actions in photos,videos and other forms) tell us how you contribute to take care of the planet.
Some Ideas - But Not Limited to!
- What is your country doing about climate change? What issues are facing it and what are you doing personally to raise awareness or actively get involved?
- How might your personal healing practices be of benefit to the environment?
- How does your life impact upon - or tread lightly - upon the earth?
- Can meditation help with climate change?
- How do you create a healing environment in your local and personal landscapes?
- What do you do to help heal the damage already done to the environment?
- A recipe for a natural and organic fertiliser, how to compost etc.
- What can we do to sooth eco-anxieties?
Conditions for Natural Medicine Entries
- Single language only
- Post in #naturalmedicine community
- Use the #hololotus and #earthhealing tags
- Tag two people you think might like to get involved
- Comment on as many other entries as you can throughout the 12 days.
You are welcome to make a different entry for each community, or enter only one - it's entirely up to you. Both communities have the shared desire to promote natural healing and value unity and togetherness over competition, so please join in with the heart and spirit we love so much from you all!
