Hola a todos! Hoy para variar tuve un día bastante activo y de verdad la pase bien asi que quería contarles como fue.
Para empezar había planificado en la mañana hacer algunas tareas en mi huerto y le dije a mi pareja que me ayudara, así que nos tomamos nuestro cafecito, desayunamos y nos dispusimos a trabajar.
Hello everyone! Today was quite an active day for a change and I really had a good time so I wanted to tell you how it went.
To start off I had planned in the morning to do some tasks in my garden and I told my couple to help me, so we had our coffee, had breakfast and got ready to work.
Lo primero era quitar unas plantas de tomate de un espacio como de 1 m x 60 cm aproximadamente para sembrar yuca (Lo siento tomateritas u.u) y también en otro lugar que estaba vacío (allí había sembrado mis batatas fallidas del año pasado) Ya sembradas nuestras “semillas” de yuca, las regamos un poco y continuamos.
The first thing was to remove some tomato plants from a space of about 1 m x 60 cm to plant cassava (sorry tomato plants u.u) and also in another place that was empty (there I had planted my failed sweet potatoes from last year) Once our "seeds" of cassava were planted, we watered them a little and continued.
Las demás tareas ya eran más sencillas, tenía que despejar un espacio al final del huerto para mover una pila de estiércol de gallina y dejar un espacio para sembrar Flor de Jamaica luego. Usé unos troncos de una planta de cambur que se corto hace poco para ponerle a los lados a la pila de estiércol y que no se riegue.
The other tasks were simpler, I had to clear a space at the end of the garden to move a pile of chicken manure and leave a space to plant some Roselle later. I used some trunks from a recently cut banana plant to put on the sides of the manure pile to keep it from spreading.
Después sembré un par de plantitas de albahaca (nunca es demasiado jaja) también removí mis composts anteriores y le agregue unos desechos orgánicos que estaba guardando al que empece hace poco y por ultimo me quede admirando todas mis plantas por un rato.
Then I planted a couple of basil cuttings (it's never too much haha) I also removed my previous compost and added some organic waste I was saving to the one I started recently and finally I just admired all my plants for a while.
El resto del día transcurrió como de costumbre, luego en la tarde vino a visitarme una amiga, conversamos un rato y decidimos salir a jugar frisbee en un area grande que hay en mi urbanización. Fuimos las 4 (¡mi perrita también fue!) y estuvimos jugando un rato, pero como ya estaban unos chicos cuando llegamos, decidimos apartarnos un poco y entones uno de ellos nos invito a unirnos a su juego y la verdad ¡al final fue bastante divertido! Era algo parecido a futbol americano y al handball. Al terminar regresamos a la casa e hicimos unos perros calientes para cenar con mi amiga, luego de comer ella se fue y nosotras nos quedamos ordenando la cocina.
The rest of the day went as usual, then in the afternoon a friend of mine came to visit me, we talked for a while and decided to go out to play frisbee in a big area in my urbanization. The 4 of us went (my dog went too!) and we were playing for a while, but as some boys were already there when we arrived, we decided to move away a little bit and then one of them invited us to join his game and the truth is that in the end it was quite fun! It was something similar to football and handball but with a frisbee. When we finished we went back to the house and made some hot dogs for dinner with my friend, after eating she left and we stayed there tidying up the kitchen.
De verdad este fue un buen día y en medio de toda la rutina de estar encerrado y eso, hicimos algo diferente ya que por lo general solo somos nosotras dos y no socializamos mucho con otra gente. Quería compartírselos porque sé que a veces es difícil hacer algo diferente, o no se tiene la manera de salir y hacer algo mas lejos o que implique gastar dinero. En fin, espero también hayan tenido un buen domingo, ¡Buenas noches a todos!
This was a really good day and in the middle of all the routine of being cooped up and stuff, we did something different since it's usually just the two of us and we don't socialize much with other people. I wanted to share this with you because I know that sometimes it's hard to do something different, or you don't have the means to go out and do something far away or that involves spending money.
