Coconut Core Roll Cake | Plant-based Cooking Challenge.

One of the staple foods that Indonesians love the most is the coconut core roll pancake, a traditional cake that is very easy to find in this archipelagic country.

Coconut Core Roll Cake a sweet taste, very soft texture, has a very delicious taste, the coconut core is the most delicious part, the coconut core is wrapped in a skin made of wheat flour.

This cake that has a unique shape, I present it for snacks when gathering with family, assisted by my sister-in-law, I serve this food to completion. At the same time I present this post to take part in the #plantbased cooking challenge every week by @justinparke. This soft, delicious and savory cake I serve for breakfast with my family at home.

Here I present how to make the Coconut Core Roll Pancake until it's finished, but in the process of making this cake it's not entirely me who did it, I was assisted by my sister-in-law who is smart in making various kinds of cakes.

The first thing to do for the process of making the Coconut Core Roll Cake is to prepare kitchen utensils that will be used later for each process of serving this dish. The kitchen utensils used are:

Cooking pan or Teflon.
Stove.
Grate.
Plate.
Basin.
Dough Mixer.
Glass.
Spoon.
Filter.
Bowl.
Spoon.
As well as the needs of other kitchen equipment used in the process of making this food.

After the kitchen utensils to be used are available, then prepare the ingredients for the process of making this food, prepare these ingredients according to the desired needs. The materials I use are as follows:

Flour.
Starch.
Egg.
Coconut.
Pandan leaves.
Sugar.
Salt.
Brown sugar.
Pandan leaves.
Margarine.
Water.
Food coloring.

Making process:

The presentation of the required ingredients is available, then proceed to the process of making the Coconut Core Roll Cake.

The first thing is to grate or slice the coconut until smooth, to make the filling for this dish. Heat one glass of water then add the brown sugar, here I use about 100-150 grams of brown sugar. After the brown sugar is melted, we add the pandan leaves and grated coconut, then cook until all the water turns reddish, then add a little salt and sugar. Then stir until evenly distributed and stir continuously until cooked.

When it's finished, it's time to enter the process of processing the Coconut Core Dadar Roll cake, the use of the skin is to wrap the coconut core or the contents of this cake that we have served earlier. The processing method for making the skin is as follows:

Mix the flour with one egg and stir until evenly distributed using a dough mixer, then add water little by little, mix until all ingredients are well blended. After that we add the coconut milk and stir again until everything is thoroughly mixed and we add one spoon of food coloring and stir everything until well blended. If the cake skin dough has been completed then proceed to the processing process by cooking using Teflon.

Heat non-stick Teflon then add a spoonful of dough first, then thin it and cook until it is completely cooked, repeat all the process until all the dough is used up. I tried the Teflon, I smeared it with a little margarine, the result is that the skin is more beautiful, the skin looks more full, clear and large.

After that we add the filling with 1/2 spoon of coconut core and then we fold it and we wrap it properly into an elongated round shape, the beauty of the texture of this food is seen in the wrapping of the shape, if you wrap it incorrectly the results will be unsatisfactory. After finishing wrapped one by one to give birth to a number of delicious and delicious cakes, then serve the food on a plate and enjoy it with full delicacy.

Cake Dadar Rolls Inti Kelapa is a cake that comes from Indonesia, this cake has a soft texture, even this cake is also found in several other Southeast Asian countries.
