Today I want to share a little bit about sowing seeds vegetables with hydroponic sytem in my garden.
During the pandemic, my husband and I provide vegetables hydroponics to eat alone or on sale, because the economy is difficult so we must be conscious of the importance of self-empowerment, because this pandemic makes the declining purchasing power of even economic uncertainty.
There are some seeds for which we will provide and moved transplanting into a hydroponic system. As for the seeds I'm sowing is as follows:
- Amaranth
This is sowing the seeds of amaranth. To sow the seeds of amaranth, I spread the spinach seedlings in rockwool directly. In 1 pieces of rockwool, I spread the seeds as much as 5-7 seeds, because the seeds of amaranth vulnerable to grow and the seeds of amaranth are also shaped small so that requires us seeding once more. Amaranth can also be grown densely in one piece rockwool.
Amaranth requires time sowing for 10-12 days until it can be transferred to a hydroponic system.
- Kale
This are the seeds of kale that I semai in nft tray sowing. In the nursery kale, which is carried out is to soak the seeds kale for a night away with warm water. Then the seeds will begin to germinate in the morning and moved into the tray sowing. Before the move, we have to enter the dacron on the tray semai then enter sprouts kale in dacron that is in the tray sowing.
Seedlings of kale to soak overnight with warm water because the seeds/seedlings of kale sized larger than the seeds of other vegetables. Just as seeds of legumes that should be first in tenderize/break so that the sprouts out.
In semai kale it takes 7-10 days, which then can be transferred to a hydroponic system.
- Pakcoy
Pakcoy is a vegetable that is a favorite of our family because the processing of pakcoy very easy and have good taste and contains a lot of minerals, vitamins and other benefits. Usually we saute pakcoy with garlic.
Pakcoy including vegetable easy sowing and developed. To sow pakcoy I usually sow in growing media with cocopeat for 3 days and transferred to rockwool until day 10.
Sow the seeds of pakcoy takes 8-10 days to seedling issue 3 leaves.
