Grilled Aubergine Sambal Asam. Plantbased Recipe.

How are you?
After a long time i am vacuum of sharing recipes weekly plantbased power cooking challenged by @justingparke this time I join back and choose 2 ingredients, namely tomatoes and aubergine.
The recipe is a typical food of the Batak traditional food are very simple, usually used as a complementary food with warm rice. How to make it is also not difficult and the taste is so fresh.

Ingredients required:

  • Aubergine
  • Tomatoes
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Red pepper
  • Shallots
  • Salt
  • Lime

How to make grilled aubergine sambal asam:

  • Grilled aubergine until soft, then peel.

  • To make sambal asam: boil water until cooked, then soak the chillies, shallots and tomatoes with hot water. Then drain

  • Thin slice of red pepper, cayenne pepper, and tomatoes. Enter into a bowl, add the lime juice and give a little water and 1 pinch salt.

  • Plating aubergine into a bowl, flush with sambal asam or chili sour.

  • Grilled aubergine sambal asam ready to be served.

Grilled aubergine sambal asam is very suitable to be eaten with warm rice with fried tempeh. The taste of fresh create the sensation of ‘collecting’ and the tongue.
