Ingredients
- 300 grams of sweet potatoes
- 150 grams of palm sugar, finely chopped
- 500 ml of water
- 500 ml of coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla essence or vanilla powder
- 25 grams of sugar or according to your taste
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- (optional) Pandan Leaves
How to make
- Step 1
Peel and clean the sweet potatoes, then cut into cubes. Place the sweet potatoes in the water and let them sit for 15 minutes before cooking.
- Step 2
Cook the sweet potatoes with 500 ml of water, one teaspoon of salt, vanilla, and pandan leave until half cooked.
- Step 3
After the sweet potatoes are half cooked, they are no longer too hard texture, it's time to add sugar and palm sugar. Stir briefly until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Step 4
In the final stage, enter the coconut milk. At this stage, you have to keep stirring so that the coconut milk doesn't break. Cook until done, or the sweet potatoes have become soft. You can pierce a piece of sweet potato with a fork to see if it is soft or not.
- Step 5
Remove and serve while warm.
