Behind the Scenes at the 35mm Film #NSFW

Recently I posted here on my Hive Blog some images of a project I developed in 2013, called Alma Nua (Naked Soul). If you haven't seen this work yet, I invite you to check out the post where I talked more about it.

The photoshoots of the project were made with a digital camera, however, some sessions were also recorded with a Pentax K1000, in 35 mm film. Exactly like these images that I post below, made with volunteer model Marina Lopes.

The photos were made in Itatiba (SP), Brazil, on a friend's farm in 2013. I made images in the middle of nature and, as part of the project, the idea was to register naked bodies painted with the art of the artist Karla Bratfisch. Here you can even see a little behind the scenes of the painting stage, when Karla was doing her work using Marina's body as a blank canvas.

And speaking of behind the scenes, the hardest part was removing all the paint after the photos. Marina also let me accompany this process and record her shower. The pictures were also all made on 35mm film, and I really like the light that fell in the bathroom at that moment.
