Estimados hivernautas seguimos contándole sobre la presencia faunística en nuestra urbanización
En el primer video podemos observar como un Gavilán está adaptado a la convivencia con humanos, al menos cuando ellos no están y éste aprovechó el momento en que no entraba nadie a la urbanización para comerse algunas semillas e insectos que consiguió entre la grama y la caminería.
Este gavilán tiene su pareja y regularmente se les ve por la mañana posados sobre una antena bien sea uno solo o ambos.
Se trata del Caricare Sabanero (Daptrius chimachima) especie que habita principalmente en el llano venezolano a varias decenas de kilómetros de aquí y sube por la montaña hasta la ciudad cercana a los 1000 msnm.
Conviven en el mismo ambiente urbano con pericos que van y vienen, pernoctando en la urbanización; con otras aves que viven permanentemente como son los pájaros y con una familia de loros con sus crías que tienen ya varios meses por acá.
Por su tamaño y agilidad se ve que son jóvenes y en edad de procrear, lo cual nos lo demostraron cuando los logramos grabar en su proceso de apareamiento sobre la antena en la que se les observa diariamente.
Les dejo este breve reporte sobre algunas aves que viven en mi ciudad y son mis vecinos.

Dear hivernautas we continue telling you about the faunistic presence in our urbanization.
In the first video we can see how a Sparrowhawk is adapted to coexistence with humans, at least when they are not there, and it took advantage of the moment when no one was entering the urbanization to eat some seeds and insects that it got between the grass and the path.
This sparrowhawk has a mate and they are regularly seen in the morning perched on an antenna either one or both.
This is the Sabanero Caricare (Daptrius chimachima) a species that lives mainly in the Venezuelan plains several tens of kilometers from here and climbs the mountain up to the city near 1000 meters above sea level.
They coexist in the same urban environment with parakeets that come and go, roosting in the urbanization; with other birds that live permanently as are the birds and with a family of parrots with their young that have already several months here. By their size and agility it is seen that they are young and in age to procreate, which we demonstrated it when we managed to record them in their mating process on the antenna in which they are observed daily.
