Dark esthetic w/ Brittany!

What’s up, Hive? Back after a few family and friends-centric days in Scranton, PA. @ghostfish and I had a great trip to a cabin up north for a writer’s retreat and that was the first actual vacation I’ve taken for myself in over a decade. It made me realize I need some time that isn’t directly interfacing with the blockchains of the world. I’ve been working on @neverwel stuff with @swarddraws, and this afternoon, I caught up with @joshbalz to talk over the @facingsofficial Strange & Unusual NFT set on WAX. The rest of the night was coffee shop time to edit, and here I am to write.

I have some new photography from Viva Las Vegas that I wanted to share tonight. I did a huge event with Cervena Fox at her home in Las Vegas. We had thirteen models, a world class hair and make-up team, Cervena’s modeling expertise as a coach and I was the guest photographer for the day. These events have been so much better for me. Over the years, Viva has been half of my photography income for the year, but the toll it took on me mentally, physically and creativity, was massive. These guest photographer opportunities are so much better.

One of the models I shot during the day was Brittany. She came to the set at Cervena’s home shoot ready with hair styling by my longtime friend, Lizette. I could tell this shoot was a bit outside of her comfort zone. She’s the lead singer in a metal band, so not that she struggled with the performance aspect of the shoot, but maybe the direction and unusual approach to how my dark pinup sessions are executed. I had roughly 30 minutes to shoot with Brittany, and we did get some excellent shots in La Femme En Noir.

I was able to finish all the remaining edits I owed to Brittany so she is finished. Tomorrow, I’ll have a few more hours to sit and work on other models from the rest of the shoots at Cervena’s. Tomorrow, I’ll also be shooting another collection of Strange & Unusual for an upcoming @mirrorpool release. I also have to get on the phone with @lovejoy and discuss an approach to my EOSIO zine, Immutable Realms, as my grant was just successfully funded on Pomelo. It’s been a really good day. Good night!
