Madrid icons

They were not born to become true icons of the city, not even despite their fortunate status as royal infantazgo.

Velázquez, possibly the greatest painter of all time, was far from imagining, when he immortalized them on canvas, the popularity that they would reach with the passing of the centuries.

To the point, that the Meninas, those regal but not very graceful infantonas, continue to be, to this day, an essential part of that gallery of emblematic icons representative of a city, Madrid, whose cultural commitment is worth knowing.
