CTPX - First Impressions & Walk-Thru

CTPX is the new content discovery tool created by the CTP team. I have recently signed up and thought I would give you a walk-through of the tool and some of my first impressions.

Signing up is very easy, you can register with your email or with your Hive login. If you do want to check it out, feel free to use my link.

Once you are signed up, you are confronted by a pretty slick dashboard. I do not know what all the functions are yet, but have discovered the use of some of the important ones.

The program works similarly to the traffic exchanges, so by viewing content, you can also get yours viewed by other people. So far there has been a mix of content from landing page signups, websites with interesting products, and blog pages advertised.

The first thing you will want to do is to add your own website, blog, or page that you would like to advertise. You do that by clicking website from the menu and then adding a new site as shown above.

This then gives you the simple option of giving the URL of the page you want to share and a title for it. I have added in a landing page for my mailing list so far but I would also likely add my latest blog post to help increase the views.

Once entered, the system does a check of the URL and if everything is fine, it is approved.

Start Xploring

Next, you would want to return to the dashboard and click the start Xploring button. This would then allow you to start exploring content.

Once you start exploring content, there are a few things to be aware of that are not 100% clear. Firstly, there is a blue bar at the bottom and top that starts moving. This is like a timer for how long you need to view the content to count as a "hit".

Next, there is a form of captcha box that appears. To count the view, you need to match the shape on the left with one from the right. This is to prove you are human.

Some other options there are the little green head and shoulders figure. This is to take you back to the dashboard when you are finished. The blue square and arrow that I have highlighted above is something to click if you want to go directly to the website outside of CtpX.

Something to be aware of is that with the free account, you can earn views to your content with a 3:1 ratio. So every 3 sites that you view, will earn you 1 view of your content. You can increase this ratio if you buy a subscription.

This is counted in the XPLORE tokens that you earn, for each view you earn 0.33 XPLORE. You can also win CTP tokens in the hourly prize draws that are taking place. So far over 9k CTP has been distributed. To get a ticket, you need to view at least 10 pages in that hour. This could make it worth your while to split up any page views that you do to increase your chances of winning.

Whilst I was on, in the space of a couple of hours, the payouts were around 110 CTP tokens each, which would be nice to win.

I could not add any Ecency or Peakd pages to my websites, but other front ends seem to work like Ctptalk and Leofinance.

Gamification

There is also a gamification aspect built-in. Unlike a leaderboard that we saw in ListNerds, here we have levelling-up on different aspects of the platform. The more active you are, the faster that you can level up in different areas.

There are also the tasks that you can aim to complete to help you along your marketing journey.

Summary

Overall it is looking like a very slick product that could be useful to promote your content and also to discover new content. If you are interested to try it out, feel free to use my link.

Thanks for reading.
