Dreams and Dream Stealers

}

A little while back I wrote an article called Where Did Your Dreams Go?
I get a lot of feedback from people telling me that I hit a nerve with that one. That’s good I think.
There’s no point in writing something that is grammatically correct, word perfect and 100% accurate if it doesn’t provoke a response.

We are human - we thrive on emotion and we want to belong

Unfortunately, a lot of professional shysters understand our humanity a little too well. They often use that knowledge to devastating effect and manipulate us into making decisions that we otherwise wouldn’t have.

Dodgy used car salespeople are masters of this,as are some not so reputable real estate agents.

On the internet, there are literally thousands of snake oil sellers practicing these dark arts. One of their deadliest weapons is the use of a false sense of urgency. I’m sure you’ve seen those timer buttons telling you that you only have 33 seconds to buy at this one time bargain basement offer with all the miscellaneous bonus junk thrown in that you will never be likely to use.

This is never more evident in the digital product marketplace,

They’re flat out lying to you,

I’ve seen massive product launches with 2K and a higher sales prices for essentially a membership product script that has been around since 1995 only to see the same product thrown in as a freebie months later when the big name guru launched his next piece of electronic junk.

These people keep selling the same tired old lie with a fresh set of paint over and over again.

How do they do it?

They surgically strike at one of our weakest points. Do you know what that is?

FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) aka Herd Mentality

Over and over again, you get told that the latest piece of junk is heaven on a stick and is the answer to all your prayers.

So you buy it and it doesn’t work as advertised if at all and your heart sinks.

You feel foolish and trapped. Often you get blamed for being stupid or not following directions properly….you know the story. Every time it happens, a little part of you dies and your dreams seem a little further away than ever. You blame yourself. How could you be so stupid? But you’ve kissed a hundred (or is a thousand?) dollars goodbye and you want to get it back,

That’s when the next email describing the latest shiny object arrives in your inbox and the cycle starts again.

This happens over and over again, until inevitably another chronic human reaction kicks in - this one’s called ...Fear of Failure and it’s at that point that your dreams go up on smoke.

There is no reward without risk, but you can mitigate that risk by

Being calculated in your decision making and by being prepared to question everything makes you more likely to make decisions that you cannot only live wit but be proud of.

Right now there’s a huge buzz about Cryptocurrencies and it's really hard to work out what's real and what’s not. There’s an awful lot of herd mentality happening right now and you can bet pounds to peanuts that there’s going to be casualties.

Don’t fall for the trap

Crypto is still very young - there will be huge developments in years to come

Now's the time to get educated and to learn everything you can.

What CTP is doing for you and I is incredibly valuable if we take the opportunity to learn everything we can.

Do the hard yards now.
