First, here is the progress on my colorful mittens. It is almost time to shape the top of the first mitten. Then I will pick up the stitches for the thumb and then on to make a mate for it.
Next, I took some knit pants with a waistband I disliked and replaced that narrow waistband with a wide band of comfortable ponte knit.
I modeled it after a favorite pair of store-bought pants.
Finally, I covered a stain on a knit top by stitching on a cute flower patch I found in my sewing box.
Like generations of women before me, my needles keep me busy and save me money as I maintain and create quality clothing.
