Hive Stock Images : Grasses

IMG_8705.JPG

The scientific name of the family is Poaceae. As mentioned in Wikipedia, it has about 780 genera and about 12,000 species. I then became interested in observing this monocot plant, which is estimated to be 40.5% of the earth's land area covered by grasslands (same source). Then it became more fun than I imagined.

It turns out that it's not just the green that covers the ground, yards of houses and buildings, or fields. Turns out, a lot of tiny things that are interesting to look at near our feet! Starting from the hanging morning dew, flowers, various leaf shapes, various growing styles, to insects that like the grass even though it is not for grazing like livestock and the like.

So, it got me thinking about creating a collection of grasses and grasslands for stock images, or whatever I find in the grass. These images are not taken at the same time and in one place, but at different times from morning to evening, and in various places, from hilly areas to coastal areas where grass grows on the beach sand, or near the dry muddy ground. That was a lot of fun for me, and I hope the results of the shoot please you, and you can use them! Thank you!
