It is easily accessible and can get to the destination quickly I think is the idea for a road. In the lowlands, land that is dry and is avoided from marshes or whatever wetlands are usually the choice for roads. In the highlands, sloping areas or slopes and avoiding steep cliffs are the choice for roads.
Pathways that are easy to walk are usually the main choice, but for urgent matters, a path that can convey quickly to the destination is an option even though it is not easy to walk and is risky. The paths may be shaped by people who have an adventurous spirit, from a number of adventures to a place, they find a path that is good and ideal to get to a place.
In the modern era, such an adventurous spirit is perhaps not so necessary anymore because technology can subdue natural obstacles so that paths that are easy to pass and effectively convey quickly to the destination, can be made in various places.
However, in remote villages or in lands that have just been cleared for agriculture and so on, those with a spirit of adventure still participate in shaping the paths that many times later are widened to be able to be traversed by various sizes of vehicles, and it may also at one time become a highway which becomes one of the pillars in the formation of a residential or urban spatial plan. I think there are lots of paths that after decades have become streets, main roads or highways in a big city.
So, I want to record some footphaths around me, some in the lowlands and some in the highlands (hills), and some of them have been widened, some are dry and some are muddy with rain, as a collection of stock images.
