Video Dance/Video Danza
The first thing I'm going to talk about is the direction of this dance video. This exercise consists of improvising within a selected space, which in this case is this corridor; The mobility applied in this space will be accompanied by a music selected by the interpreter, the improvisation technique that will be applied in this space will be instructed by the interpreter Daniel Alejandro Guedexz, in this case I, as the director, will be in charge of the directing areas. , photography, camera, direction of actors and editing. The search for this material is to achieve a perfect complement between the cameraman and the interpreter so that these two characters in action can achieve a perfect choreographic communication (when we talk about action points in space) and at the same time improvised.
Camera: As a director and cameraman, the first thing I do is wait for the preparation by the direction of actors to finish, and I make sure that the interpreter makes the trip three times so that the body and its consciousness are clear where it has to pass, I do this procedure by observing in detail the points through which the interpreter passes, calculating more or less the time that lasts at each point so that the action of their movement does not catch me off guard, then I introduce myself to the interpreter and request to do two passes with the camera to begin to develop the synchrony between cameraman and interpreter, the first pass has to do with the recognition of both once finished I show her the recording so that she can be recognized visually and from one I make my appreciation, the majority Of the times I tell them that they have to take into account the movement of the camera in order to avoid any stumbling blocks; in the second pass everything is almost always clearer, in the same way I show you the take and we correct it and we are ready to record.
Lines: I really like to detail the lines in my work, which plays an important role in this material since from the beginning there is a rhythmic game proposed by the incredible architecture, this game is found with the rectangularity of the windows that appear in the first shot , the differentiation of you are at the level of depth of field allows a pleasant view to the viewer, followed by this, I come across the vertical lines of the rods that are in the corridor and the horizontal line that the balcony deck presents me, without thinking about it. I start to play with these lines and the ones that the interpreter offers me, that I hide what she ended up composing exactly, her body lines are the main ones for me and according to what she can express to me I propose and framing, that is where she is a possible impulse on the part of the cameraman, that is where the camera movement comes from, I can say that I am always looking for the perfect beauty of the image through of the movement that the interpreter expresses to me.
