En mi tiempo de adolescente lo visitaba mucho con mis compañeros del liceo para realizar trabajos pendientes, y en otras oportunidades para recrearme un rato. Igualmente, cuando mi hijo estaba pequeño, nos íbamos hasta allá para pasar el día. Allí jugábamos con la pelota, tendíamos una manta en la grama y pasábamos un maravilloso momento.
When I was a teenager I visited it a lot with my high school classmates to do pending work, and on other occasions to have fun for a while. Likewise, when my son was little, we would go there to spend the day. There we played with the ball, spread a blanket on the grass and had a wonderful time.
El Parque Guaquerí es, sin duda, uno de los pulmones naturales que encontramos en nuestra ciudad capital. Este se encuentra localizado en el centro de Cumaná, entre la avenida Arismendi, avenida Aristiguieta, calle Gómez Rubio y avenida Bermúdez, por uno de sus laterales, pasa El Río Manzanares. El Parque Guaquerí en todo su esplendor, posee gran cantidad de árboles emblemáticos, inmensos, de tiempos milenarios, lo que da color y belleza al lugar. Estos árboles todavía se conservan intactos, por lo cual da a estos espacios un ambiente agradable y una gran frescura, proporcionando mucho oxígeno al que allí se encuentra.
Guaqueri Park is, without a doubt, one of the natural lungs that we find in our capital city. This is located in the center of Cumaná, between Arismendi Avenue, Aristiguieta Avenue, Gómez Rubio Street and Bermúdez Avenue, on one of its sides, it passes El Río Manzanares. Guaquerí Park in all its splendor, has a large number of emblematic, immense trees, from ancient times, which gives color and beauty to the place. These trees are still preserved intact, which is why they give these spaces a pleasant atmosphere and great freshness, providing a lot of oxygen to those who are there.
Al llegar al sitio, nos encontramos unos funcionarios de INPARQUE en la entrada, que les dan la bienvenida a los visitantes. Yo particularmente tenía muchos años que no venía a este parque. Siempre pasaba por las afueras. Me sorprendió mucho cuando lo vi, ya que no era el mismo de muchos años atrás. Las áreas verdes están un poco descuidadas. Anteriormente, cuando lo visitaba, tenía mucha grama, la cual hacía juego con los arbustos.
Upon arriving at the site, we find some INPARQUE officials at the entrance, who welcome visitors. I particularly had not been to this park for many years. He always passed through the outskirts. I was very surprised when I saw it, since it was not the same as many years ago. The green areas are a bit neglected. Previously, when I visited it, it had a lot of grass, which matched the bushes.
En la caminata nos encontramos con una iguana inmensa, que por el color de la piel parece muy vieja. Ella bajó de uno de los árboles y justamente se paró frente a nosotros, como posando, para que le tomáramos una foto. Le tomé varias fotografías y luego se subió nuevamente al árbol. Seguimos nuestro paseo observando los distintos lugares del parque y tomando otras fotos.
On the walk we met a huge iguana, which looks very old due to the color of its skin. She came down from one of the trees and stood in front of us, as if posing, so we could take a photo of her. I took several photos of him and then he climbed the tree again. We continued our walk observing the different places in the park and taking other photos.
Vimos personas en lugares para pernoctar, unos estaban conversando, otros leyendo y merendando. También hay asientos de cemento para descansar. Tiene sanitarios y una concha acústica para actos culturales. Me llamaron la atención los avisos de INPARQUE para la conservación del lugar, así de esta manera habrá mayor compromiso para cuidar este espacio.
We saw people in places to spend the night, some were talking, others reading and having a snack. There are also cement seats to rest on. It has toilets and an acoustic shell for cultural events. INPARQUE's notices for the conservation of the place caught my attention, so in this way there will be greater commitment to take care of this space.
Estos sitios naturales se deben conservar y proteger con el fin de preservar un ambiente para nuestras familias, amigos, visitantes y futuras generaciones.
